The Inclusion and Diversity (I&D) Community Advisor team works across Apple to increase representation and inclusion for under-represented communities. Advisors recruit and mentor the leadership of Diversity Network Associations (DNAs), Apple’s employee resource groups, and foster alignment and momentum. The Advisor Manager’s role is to manage a team of Advisors toward the goal of building a strong, relevant, and forward-thinking DNA Community. To accomplish this, the Manager will focus on team strategy, Advisor management, and Community sentiment and critical issues.
Key Qualifications
  • Track record of building effective business partnerships in a consultative model and influencing others.
  • Experience and expertise in Inclusion & Diversity (I&D) related fields.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in being flexible and adaptable according to the changing needs and priorities of the organization.
  • Ability to influence leaders from a variety of subject areas and seniority levels.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Description
Drive team strategy and impact The DNA Community has over 50,000 members and a range of partners across geographies and LOBs. The Advisor Manager will work with the team lead to ensure the team has the right strategy in place and is communicating the impact to relevant partners. Expectations of the Manager: • Work with Team Lead to update and detail a team strategy that aligns with I&D and Apple priorities. • Document and update Advisor Chapter and Community assignments as needed. • Ensure each Advisor has quarterly goals that align with team and departmental strategy. • Work with Team Lead to communicate impact and develop team reputation. Update documentation. Advisor Management Advisors are responsible for encouraging strong DNAs. The Advisor Manager is responsible for ensuring that efforts are adding up to accomplish the team’s goals. In addition, the Manager is responsible for having a development plan to ensure that the team and individual members are advancing and gaining skills toward their goals. Expectations of the Advisor Manager: • Ensure team members are on track to hit quarterly goals for Chapter launches and leadership recruitment. • Ensure Advisors have positive relationships with Co-Chairs, Executive Sponsors, and other partners. • Provide coverage and amplification for Heritage Moments, Community Conversations etc. • Incorporate individual development plans into performance reviews and ongoing management. Community Sentiment and Crisis Escalations The Advisor team supports a range of activations and communications channels. The Advisor Manager is responsible for ensuring the Advisor team is providing healthy, accessible spaces that align with Apple values and policies. The Manager will play an active role in supporting Advisors in raising any community sentiments or crisis that require partner or leadership attention. Expectations of the Advisor Manager: • Play an active role in partner concerns and update team processes to enable smoother partnership. • Manage, collect, and share community sentiments in a meaningful way with key partners.
