Tea is one of the most widely consumed beverages in the world. All the various
“true” teas like black, green, oolong, and white tea provide a rich source of
antioxidants, cancer fighting compounds, and seem to aid in just about every
health condition.
As great as these teas are, there are also a lot of herbal teas out there filled with
health promoting and fat burning qualities. Let’s take a look at some of the best
teas out there: Green Tea: Green tea is rich in a compound called EGCG that
has shown benefits for protecting against cancer, oxidative stress, heart disease,
and is used to aid in fat loss.
White Tea: White tea has the highest antioxidant levels of all the true teas.
Gynostemma Tea: Gynostemma is an herb that has many benefits similar to
ginseng in that it helps balance the body’s systems and build up defense against
stress. Some of the longest lived people in China were found to drink
gynostemma tea on a regular basis. It is caffeine free. My preferred source is

Yerba Matte Tea: Yerba matte is very similar to green tea in that it is often
drank to boost energy, without burning you out. It also is traditionally drank as a
weight loss aid and is even higher in antioxidants than green tea.
Rooibos Tea: Like other teas, rooibos is very high in antioxidants, including
antioxidants that can’t be found in any other tea, but it is free from caffeine.
Chamomile Tea: Chamomile is a popular night time tea because of its ability to
relax the nerves and help one wind down. But its benefits go even further to
reducing inflammation, boosting the immune system, and protecting against
Horsetail and Nettle Tea: This combination is the ideal formula for improving
bone health. These plants contain high amounts of silica (and magnesium)
which may be even more important than calcium for building strong bones.
Pau d’Arco and Cat’s Claw (Una De Gato): These herbs from the Amazon
rainforest are two of the most powerful anti-fungal, anti-viral, and anti-bacterial
herbs out there. People suffering from fungal/yeast infections as well as health
