Internal communications at Apple connects our people to our purpose by bringing our values to life, communicating about products and initiatives, and elevating the employee experience. As a member, you’ll be part of the line of business communications team that supports Apple’s Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) organization. Think of IS&T as Apple’s nerve center. Our employees design and lead the massive systems that run Apple services, such as Apple Pay and the Apple website, as well as manufacturing, logistics, retail operations, and all our corporate facilities. IS&T also develops and manages our data centers all over the globe.

Key Qualifications

At least 4 years in a technical writing, editing, and publishing role for high-traffic websites
Able to write detailed app and service documentation, provide guidance and direction regarding brand, tone, and voice, and continuously evolve documentation standards
Shown experience with web content management systems—ideally Drupal
Project management and leadership experience, and vision
Experience achieving results on complex projects in an ambiguous, fast-changing environment
Ability to clearly communicate with diverse audiences, including senior leadership
Experience with metrics and how to interpret and act on them
Meticulous, highly organized, and strong task/project management skills
Experience in website information architecture and page layout planning
Understanding of web design/development concepts and processes

Description

In this role, you’ll craft beautiful, simple, easy-to-read, yet detailed technical documentation for the IS&T website, the destination for Apple employees to learn about all the different internal tools and offerings to get work done—and how to use them. You’ll collaborate with a number of cross-functional partners, like subject matter authorities and product managers, to consolidate, organize, and improve our existing documentation. The ideal candidate loves to write and sees it as an exciting, novel way to reach our employees, particularly when it comes to making complex topics simple and intuitive.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, journalism, computer science, or related field.
