JetFuel recently launched Refined Media, a content-centric social media company focused on building & scaling unique media properties on TikTok, Instagram, and Snapchat. We firmly believe that the future of media & entertainment is social, and are actively deploying cutting-edge strategies to make that vision a reality.

We’ve amassed a cross-platform network of 35 million followers on Instagram and 10 million subscribers on Snapchat—composed primarily of theme-based media properties in a variety of content niches. We are now focusing our efforts on TikTok and are assembling a content dream team.

This part-time role will be focused on helping us create world-class content as we scale our portfolio of TikTok channels. We currently own and operate 3 channels with a total of 3 million followers, and are looking for a script writer to help us bring world class creative content to life! We are actively scaling our operations and need your help to level up our content and increase our pace of production.

What You’ll Do

• • Write scripted content for our rapidly growing network of TikTok channels
  • Brainstorm and collaborate closely with our talent to make sure that tone, style, and subject matter is best suited for their specific audience on TikTok
  • Monitor performance of each video in order to generate hypothesis about the types of content that lead to For You Page distribution
  • Provide structure to the content creation process, creating calendars and other planning materials
  • Use your creative skills to make suggestions for visual overlays, edits, and other directorial suggestions
  • Write scripted promotional content for sponsored posts for a variety of apps, games, and brand advertisers

What You’ve Done

• • You have copywriting experience at a media company with a focus on digital content, or script writing experience with a focus on movies, tv shows, broadcast, or other entertainment-related medium

Who You Are

• • A highly creative and prolific content or script writer who has a knack for understanding what leads to engagement and distribution on social media
  • You love to think about human psychology and what drives interest in a particular topic or piece of content
  • You have a deep familiarity with various types of content on TikTok, and a basic understanding of creative techniques to help increase a video’s performance on social media
  • You enjoy collaborating with talent and brainstorming creative ideas
  • You have experience in a range of creative endeavors and can pull from those experiences to help write interesting and engaging content
